What you see (in the promos) is what you get. Over-the-top, no-head-nor-tail, senselessness served in the name of unpretentious cinema. Sure, many from the crowd around me were laughing, hooting, and whistling their hearts out. At what though, is beyond me.
No thanks, I'm very comfortable with my sense of humor.
Watch if you have nothing better to do
enter after interval and you will get a half decent entertainer. Watch it from the beginning and you are doomed. for more go here:

This movie was such a Disappointment. I booked in advance for this movie, which was after quite a long time (the last time I did was for MNIK). And it turns out to be a such a poor entertainer. Shame.
Movie is about Sunny coming to India to find his Father, Dharam, and Brother, Bobby, with whom he got seperated when they were young... Wait a sec.. The movie wasn't about that. It was about the talentless Bobby Deol and his love story. Such a pleasure to watch that..
First half is such a PAIN to watch.. It was exhausting man.. And it was becoming unbearable.. Luckily, Interval arrived at the right time. Second Half is decent but again, is nothing great. I think Bobby Deol is the MAIN reason why this movie falls flat. He fails miserably more than half the time and he got way too much screentime. He was not at all charming or "likeable" as Guju.. And the "romantic" track between him and Kuldeep was anything but believable. The movie revolved around him and his love story. Dharam was no good either in my eyes. He felt emotionless who acted in this movie just to complete the "Deol Trio". Sunny was funny at times but they crossed a line with his action scenes.. badly testing Audience's patience. I liked Anupam Kher and Mukul Dev in the movie. Both were movie savers for me. Kuldeep is pretty and was pleasant in the role of hers. Rest.. I dont feel like mentioning.
And what is with that utterly useless Item Song in "Tinku Jiya"? It was quite vulgar IMO. Obviously Item songs are 99% of the times pointless and kept for "special" entertainment but it was tiring to sit and watch the two item songs in this one.. Both made me uneasy. The only song I liked in this movie is "Chadade Rang". YPD title track too was decent.
Man.. First, I hardly got any sleep today and on top of that, I went for YPD late in the night. My head is banging due to loudness of the movie.. There is a 10 minutes scene in the movie where Sunny's Angrezi Biwi comes screaming his name.. That scene gave me a severe migraine.. And by the end of the movie, I regretted not carrying an Aspirin. This movie has few laughable scenes.. And Loads of Flat jokes. Most of the funny scenes were already shown in the trailers.. Disappointment.
This movie was entertaining and full of laughs for one that understood the story and jokes :p although it might be necessary for the watcher to have some background knowledge to understand many of the jokes, to a viewer that was aware, this movie was hilarious. Although the beginning of the movie was somewhat slow, it picked up a pace and never dropped from there. From jokes to a good story that one can finally enjoy with their family, this movie had it all. This story might not be original, but it did deliver the right punches at the right time to cast its own little spell on the viewers. The songs werent the best, but the actors did their job well. Not the best movie of the year, but def a movie that could be seen more than once. I rank this movie a 6.5/10.
