45 minutes of complete entertainment followed by 55 dull ones of nothing happening. All of which is tied up in the 20 most 'blah' ones ever written. You do the math. Kangna is a misfit and the film has the worst climax a film could ever have.

Another Band Baaja Baraat? Certainly not. Despite the misleading trailers. It seemed like trying too hard to impress by throwing in a little bit of everything -

Great music - (which it delivered, but it's too heavy to match the light mood of the film). My favorite Saddi Galli came and went all too quickly ;(

Boy-likes-girl, girl-rejects-but-eventually-accepts angle - Awww, how sweet! But how many more times do we still have to see it? Ok, being a sucker for romantic films, I don't even mind watching it over and over but I'm sure something more original and engaging would have been lot more fun.

Profanities - Used all too liberally and unncessarily. I'm sure Kangana as the bold and gutsy Tanuja Trivedi urf Tanu would have convinced as much, while sparing a few C***s. [Looks can be deceptive. This, with reference to the pic above ;]

Realistic characters - (Which has become a trend after films like DCH, Jab We Met). But despite all attempts to make them appear beliavable, they seem an absolute misfit in a climax as high-decibel drama as this one.

Comedy - That bit I agree was bang on. Deepak Dobriyal as Manu's phrennd gives a paisa-vasool performance. (He's as good in comic roles as sombre and restrained ones like in Gulaal).

While I enjoyed the film in bits and parts, some tight editing would have helped. All in all, TWM has its moments but lacks a soul. Go for it, if you really want to. The rest, wait for the DVD :-)

The film has a stellar cast, is well-directed and also has an exquisite sound-track. I saw Mouna Ragam many, many years ago, and “Tanu weds Manu” appears to be a modern-day Mouna-Ragam. Of course the rebellious girl-meets-strong,silent man theme has been explored in other films like “Hum dil de chuke sanam” , Aisha (2010), and has been a staple of romance-lovers for generations. This movie is a pleasant interpretation of it. If you haven’t seen this film it, I highly recommend it.

Somewhat original, creative, and predictable, Tanu Weds Manu is a movie to watch if someone has extra time to spare. Each and every character played his/her role with dignity. Casting was perfect, esp kangana ranaut who played her role better than most people would expect her to. Obviously the South Indian Superstar pulled off his role with dignity,as he has always has on the silver screen. Hopefully this masti filled romantic comedy is accepted by the audience because he deserves to be accepted. The songs and story both are modern; not a family film but definitely not a movie that one would avoid sitting through with family. No real bold scenes, which is rare nowadays, just a few curses here and there. Overall the story and acting in this movie was all justified. I rank this fun time-pass movie a 5.5/10.
