Rascals (Hindi)
Release Date:
October 06, 2011Rascals is a comedy about two conmen(Sanjay Dutt & Ajay Devgan) competing with each other and trying to out-scheme each other in amusing yet surprising setups till they fall in love with the same girl( Kangana Ranaut).
Rating: Switch channels if it's on cable. For a slapstick that is supposed to keep you in splits, Rascals has a very few gags that would have worked better if they were told in a calmer tone, with better timing and weren't dragged endlessly.
There is nothing new in this film. The same old stuff. Very bad story. The screenplay of the film is very predictive. So there is nothing like twist and turn. I have always said this and I'll repeat again. Don't add unnecessary songs. They always spoil the continuity of the film. Not a single song from this movie was necessary in that situation.
On the acting side, Ajay Devgn did OK. Sanjay dutt looked out of touch and too old for the role. Kangana clearly overacted in this film. Lisa haydon.. Just watch her.
All in all, you can watch this one time and forget. There are few laughs here and there. Like Salman disappointed by doing Bodyguard, Ajay disappointed doing this film.
