Rakht Charitra as quoted by the director stands for A History of blood, the movie is based upon a real life gangster who turned politician after the death of his father and brother. The story is based upon real life experiences of the main protagonist Paritala Ravi, who turned into a killing machine after the death of his family.

This is director Ram Gopal Vermas second succesful biographal venture after his award winning movie Company. In this movie you will see similarities with some of Vermas pervious films such as Sarkar and Sarkar Raj. The camera angles in the movie were excellent as when the characters would show their venegeful emotions it looked amazing.

Rakht Charitra is not a typical bollywood film, neither does it have the songs and dances that you would expect. The film is strictly forbidden for light hearted people, women and children as it is a very grusome movie. This film is for people who like films based upon real life charcters and the brutally side of the bollywood cinema

The actors Perfomances in the film are oustanding. Viviek Oberoi gives his best at portraying Paritala Ravi. He doesnt just act as the character but looks like the character, when the audiences will see this movie they will not think they are watching Viviek oberoi they will be thinking of him as Paritala Ravi. Our Veteran Actor Shatrughan Sinha returns with a fantastic perfomance as NT Rama Rao. Abimanyu Singh who portrays the role of Bukka Reddy the villain of the film gives a brilliant perfomance, when you see the actor he makes you want to hate him on how he treats the people of the city and the grusome death he gives his victims.

Overall the film appeals only to people who like their movies to be gory and full of blood. The film will work better in Telegu and Tamil Versions as it will have more identification of the characters in them areas of india.

My rating out of 10 for Rakht Charitra is 8.5/10
